Your Mind
Can Stop the Power of God in Your Life
|
[That is] because the mind of the flesh [with
its carnal thoughts and purposes] is hostile to God, for it does not
submit itself to God's Law; indeed it cannot. |
|
(Romans 8:7, Amplified Bible) |
The
carnal or sense ruled mind is your five senses (sight, smell, hearing,
taste, touch). It will always be at odds with the spiritual power of God.
| Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean
not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He
shall direct your paths. |
|
(Proverbs 3:5-6) |
Your mind does not see or understands the
spiritual power of God. When you are born again your spiritual mind is
opened to understand the Word and power of God. The Word of God is Spirit. John
6:63 states, "It is the Spirit who gives
life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit,
and they are life." When
you see, live and pray in the Spirit, you are in agreement with the Word and
power of God to move mightily in your life. Your sense ruled mind will not
accept or believe the spiritual power of God. The key to receiving a miracle
is to see and expect it through your spiritual eyes and heart. Praying in
the Spirit is the greatest power to strengthen and open your Spirit to the
power and blessings of God.
|
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ
Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the
Spirit. |
|
Romans 8:1 |
| For
those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of
the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of
the Spirit. |
|
Romans 8:5 |
| For
to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life
and peace. |
|
Romans 8:6 |
|
while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things
which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but
the things which are not seen are eternal. |
|
2 Corinthians 4:18 |
| Now
faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen. |
