THE LIVING GOD AND HIS LIVING WORD
IN YOU
|
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh
profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are
life. |
|
(John 6:62) |
When a Christian who is preaching and quoting
the Bible scriptures with the Spirit of God there is almost an electricity in
the air. The Word of God is alive and brings life and health to you.
My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart;
For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh. |
|
(Proverbs
4:20-24) |
When you hear or read others quoting scriptures and it feels so dull and
lifeless. That is because they are just speaking words without the
Spirit of God. The Bible is an endless living power when used in
agreement with God. Many people try to use the Bible to condemn,
manipulate or to try to elevate their intellectual superiority over you.
But when you hear the Scriptures spoken with the Spirit of God it will
always bring joy hope, healing and life.
I always tune out when I hear someone
speaking, writing or quoting scriptures without the life of God energizing
them. Because the Spirit of God is not involved or in agreement with
what they are doing. The way to for you to know if what you are
hearing or reading is Truly God. Is there a living power in their
words? "But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his
craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in
Christ" (2 Corinthians 11:3). There are so many different teachings
and doctrines out there but only the true Word of God continuously gives
living life, love and hope overflowing throughout all of eternity.
| You should no longer be children,
tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by
the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting. |
|
(Ephesians 4:14) |
| Beware lest anyone cheat you through
philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men,
according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to
Christ. |
|
(Colossians 2:8) |
| But there were also false prophets among the
people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly
bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and
bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their
destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.
By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time
their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. |
