HE IS YOUR GREAT SHEPHERD
| For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
|
|
(Romans 8:14) |
When the Lord Jesus Christ appeared to me He
said something so profound that it has always lived fervently in my spirit.
He said, "many say they are led by my Spirit but their hearts and minds are
consumed by personal pride, self seeking and the cares of this life. To be
led by My Spirit a Christian must always follow Me continuously"! When
ever you take your eyes or heart off of the Lord Jesus Christ you have stopped
following Him. You will then be wandering aimlessly and making many bad
decisions in your life. Sheep will always follow their Shepherd.
They know as long as they follow and see Him they are safe. He will
faithfully feed and watchfully care for them always.
| Amplified Bible THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield
me], I shall not lack. He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green
pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. He refreshes
and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness
[uprightness and right standing with Him--not for my earning it, but] for
His name's sake. Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of
the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me. |
|
(Psalm 23:1-4) |
A life filled with a humble servants heart and
prayer, praise and thanksgiving will always keep your eyes and heart on the
Great Shepherd. The Lord Jesus Christ will never leave or forsake you.
Remember to be led by His Spirit you must take your eyes off yourself and
continually follow Him.
| Amplified Bible Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with
all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or
understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and
He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. |
|
(Proverbs 3:5-6) |
| Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. |
|
(Psalm 119:105) |
| And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the
sheep follow him, for they know his voice. |
|
(John 10:4) |
| I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the
sheep. |
|
(John 10:11) |
| I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. |
|
(John 10:14) |
| And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me
shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. |
|
(John 6:35) |
